U.N. mission in Congo in retreat

Detachments of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) made a strategical withdrawal from the east base of Rumangabo, ceding the site to the M23 rebel group in the area. Since the beginning of the year there has been increasing frustration with the UN mission to be powerless against militia violence, Reuters reports.
