According to RMF FM, a pilot program of general military training will be launched in November. The Ministry of Defence plans to train respective 1000 people again this year, and in another even 30,000.
A pilot military training programme is launched in November
According to the information provided by the MON, the programme is to be flexible and tailored to the individual needs of the participants. Any individual who wants to take part in the training will be able to decide how long this training will take and in which military unit will take it. The course is to last from 1 to 30 days.
– A willing individual will decide whether he wants to undergo training in civilian protection or as part of a defensive course choose his specialization. He will then choice the place where he will take specified a course," said Deputy Minister of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk in an interview with RMF FM.
He added that as of January 1, 2026, training is to start full steam. “The year 2027 will be the scale, say, of 100,000 trained each year,” said Tomczyk.
Training participants will learn how to operate drones, usage weapons of various calibers and will undergo medical courses preparing to work as a military medic. Additionally, they will learn the techniques of endurance in both cities and open areas.
The training will culminate in taking a military oath and becoming a reservist.

The Ministry of Defence besides announces an information run to encourage as many people as possible to participate in the training programme.
Let us besides remind that in 2026 about 235 1000 Poles will receive a call for military qualifications. This is not a draft for the military, it's a work under the Homeland defence Act. You gotta show up due to the fact that there could be serious consequences.
Under the MON Regulation of 27 August 2025, the declaration of military qualifications will take place on 16 January 2026. The procedures themselves will last almost 3 months. The published paper (the task can be found here) states that the duration of the qualification is set for the period from 2 February to 30 April 2026.
