The Warsaw police stopped 3 men traveling with a spy device detector and advanced hacking equipment. All 3 – Ukrainian citizens aged 39–43 – were arrested after proceeding the charges.
The detention took place during the inspection at Senatorska Street. In the Toyota, officers found, among others, a detector of spy devices, laptops, antennas, many SIM cards, routers and portable disks and hacking equipment, utilizing which they can make cyber attacks on the most crucial IT systems of Poland.
As the sergeant reported. Kacper Wojtko, the men claimed that they were "traveling across Europe" and that the equipment was needed "to work in the IT industry". The conversation was in English, but erstwhile the officers began asking for details, suspects abruptly lost their proficiency in the sense of abroad language.
The prosecution has accused men of fraud and preparation of cybercrime tools, including interference with key state information systems. The court decided to hold him for 3 months.
