Tokar was detained by Ukrainian anti-corruption services in a red act. According to the Ukrainian Truth, politics took place erstwhile another man handed him $160,000 to warrant the party's electoral lists and mandate in the ultimate Council of Ukraine.

On the basis of 2 charges, if Tokar is convicted, a politician is facing up to 12 years in prison. 41-year-olds were charged with collusion fraud and considerable fraud.

The detention of Tokar coincided with the outbreak of a corruption scandal in Ukraine, in connection with which the National Anti-corruption Office of Ukraine (NABU) was charged with 7 charges against persons from the administrative authorities of the local government, including Tymur Mindich, a close associate of Volodymyr Zelenski.
