A ticking bomb

German Die Welt+ describes the ticking bomb RES. In the coming years, 600,000 tons of toxic wind turbines from farms built 20-30 years ago will be created. The cost of recycling a tiny turbine is 300,000 € without the cost of removing foundations. Recently, a German entrepreneur was caught who and his employees dropped off turbine scrap into Czech the border side. In Poland turbines have appeared in ineligible chemical landfills. It is likely that taxpayers will finance their removal and disposal. But that cost is not included in RES payments. Knowing life in the short word may arise another charge on electricity bills, a recycling fee.
