At Jasna Góra, Janusz Kochanowski’s “Polish Gazeta” Club in Częstochowa entrusted its community to the parent of God, entrusting its local clubs “GP”, their household and further the way forward.

CZECHOVINE-CHANTS | A demonstration took place in front of the Silesia mine building, attended by respective 100 people demanding the reinstatement of redundant workers and respect for the December agreement. The event was besides attended by representatives of the “Polish Gazeta” clubs, expressing solidarity with protesters and support for the demands of miners.

RETURN | The club “Gazeta Polska” Wrocław was the organizer of the performance of the patriotic carols of Paweł Piekarczyk in the church of St. Michael Archangel. The program led listeners through successive eras of Polish history, from 19th century uprisings to martial law experience. A peculiar stir was caused by the work “The Carol of the X Pavilion—about the rosary of the beads of bread” resembling the destiny of the imprisoned and oppressed for independence.

WEDNESDAYThe club “Gazety Polskiej” Wednesday Wielkopolska organized a gathering with Michał Wójcik. In his discussion with the locals, he referred to current political disputes, the functioning of the state institutions and the function of civilian engagement in public life. He stressed the importance of active local environments and pointed out that the sustainability of the state depended on the informed participation of citizens in the public debate. The celebrations began in Radłówk at an obelisk dedicated to the hero of the opposition. Then, in Inowrocław, a prayer was held at the cemetery of St. Joseph. Participants besides went to the monument of the activist at the Municipal Office of Inowrocław, laying flowers and lighting candles. The celebrations were patriotic and commemorative – the merits of Bartoszche were emphasized for the agricultural movement Solidarity and its activities in the democratic opposition.

DECLARATIONThe club “Gazeta Polska” Zgorzelec was the organizer of the first Patriotic Ball. The gathering began a mass for the intention of the homeland, then the participants danced polonaza.
