President Karol Nawrocki signed his first legislative initiative in Kalisz on Thursday, concerning the Central Port of Communications Act. The task aimed at restoring the "traditional shape" of the CPK was already announced by the president during his Wednesday message.
Nawrocki signed the first legislative initiative
However, the paper that the fresh president signed is not the law. This is just a prelude to action, to sign the bill. Now Nawrocki will gotta file this paper in the Sejm.
Let us remind you: the president of the Republic has the right to a legislative initiative, which means that he can draw up his own bill, which then presents to the talker of the Sejm. The Chamber is obliged to consider it. The road to the presidential task is far away.
According to earlier announcements of Nawrocki, he wants to return to the first version of the CPK, which is what the Law and Justice Office passed during its rule. The earlier task was truncated by a fresh power, or – as anyone prefers – urinalized.
What did the president say in Kalisz?
– In the last centuries, especially the twentieth, we Poles suffered from our geographical position. The CPK gives us a chance and hope that we will yet begin to benefit from the fact that we are situated in the heart of Europe – it died during Nawrocki's speech.
– The common success of our future and the good from it was to be distributed as a origin of sustainable development. In my task I just signed, I request a return to sustainable improvement and that CPK is not a wheel without spokes," he stressed.
Nawrocki speech in Kalisz
– Kalisz is present becoming a symbol of cities that have been eliminated from CPK. I will never agree to destruct the mediate cities and region cities. This must be reflected in the task of our future," he added.
– The demolition of the CPK task by the current ruling coalition sparked social rebellion. I do not accept to throw 200 000 signatures under a civilian task into the trash," Nawrocki stressed.
Central Communication Port is 1 of the most crucial and ambitious infrastructure projects in Poland to make a modern communication hub connecting air, rail and road transport.
The task envisages the construction of a new, multifunctional airport, which is to become the central transport point in Poland, as well as 1 of the main air hubs in Europe. However, the thought is inactive controversial, 1 does not like the location, others worry that Chopin airport in Warsaw will disappear.
