"The Guardian" reports that 2 countries on NATO's east flank are informing of a possible Russian "provocation" targeting the Baltic states or Poland. The aim would be to test the Alliance’s cohesion, not to provoke a full-scale conflict. The threat is mounting at a time erstwhile the Kremlin is under expanding force as a consequence of Ukraine’s run of long-range strikes against targets in the Moscow and St. Petersburg regions.
