On Wednesday, Karol Nawrocki will be sworn in as president of Poland. Donald Tusk spoke on social media just before the ceremony. The Prime Minister referred to the forthcoming cooperation with the fresh president.

On 6 August at 10:00 a.m., Karol Nawrocki will be sworn in. During the ceremony before the National Assembly, he will take an oath and officially presume the office of president of the Republic of Poland.

There is simply quite a few speculation in the media about how he will work with Prime Minister Donald Tuski. The head of government addressed this issue shortly before the ceremony began.

Donald Tusk spoke before swearing in

The head of government published an entry on the X platform, in which he summarized his erstwhile relations with the presidents: "As Prime Minister I have worked with 3 presidents so far. With Lech Kaczyński, co-habitation was hard but not enemy, with Bronisław Komorowski friendly but demanding, with Andrzej Duda uncomplicated and very predictable".

Donald Tusk further referred to Nawrocki's future term: "How will it be with the fourth? We'll be fine."

The Prime Minister's gathering with the president-elect has not been scheduled yet. However, if needed, it will most likely happen. This future cooperation is the subject of many discussions in public space.

Karol Nawrocki does not hide a critical position towards the current government. The head of his law firm, Zbigniew Bogucki of the Law and Justice Department, presents a akin opinion. In an interview on air, RMF FM agreed with Nawrocki, naming Tusk as "the worst Prime Minister since 1989".

This will be the precedence of Karol Nawrocki as head of state

As we wrote on Temat.pl, Zbigniew Bogucki in a conversation with the radio was asked whether the fresh president would focus on building a political agreement or alternatively on changing the current arrangement of power. Bogucki replied that "one does not exclude the other".

He emphasized that for Karol Nawrocki "the most crucial thing is to realise the interests of Poland, all the right things that are crucial to Poles". Zbigniew Bogucki added that "the government does not implement it", and, above all – in his opinion – Donald Tusk does not.

MP Pis spoke of "multiple deception of Poles" and added that the presidential elections were a kind of referendum over the governments of the Coalition on October 15. According to him, the choice of a candidate supported by the Law and Justice is an expression of a negative assessment of the Tusk Government.
