President Nawrocki's decision not to nominate 46 judges sparked the government's rage. Prime Minister Donald Tusk has already commented on the matter, who summarized the Nawrock movement with words... Krzysztof Kononowicz. "So that there would be nothing – or Kononovich's doctrine at the Presidential Palace" – Tusk wrote in social media, quoting the celebrated slogan of the celebrated Belarusian.
"I refuse to nominate 46 judges. This is not only a verbal signal, ladies and gentlemen, but a concrete decision," said president Karol Nawrocki on Wednesday. He besides announced that he would not advance judges who "question the constitutional and legal order of the Republic".
"Every justice nominated by the president of Poland is simply a justice of the Republic of Poland. The President's prerogative is to nominate, but he can besides refuse these nominations," explained Karol Nawrocki.
The President's decision provoked outrage to the government. The Nawrocki Movement was commented, among others, by Minister of Justice Waldemar Żurek and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"We are waiting for a list of 46 names. From my information, in the President's alleged freezer, inactive at president Duda's, now at the president Nawrocki, there were 100 possible candidates to take up the position of justice and from the information I have, they were the people who passed the competition before the alleged neo-KRS" - said Żurek.
"I would like to see this list by name, who is on this list, to whom the president refused to nominate. This is rather important, due to the fact that the statements of the representatives of the NRP indicate, in my opinion, non-essential grounds for specified a refusal," added the head of the Justice Ministry.
Tusk: The Doctrine of Kononovich at the Presidential Palace
Donald Tusk commented on the situation with a typical pinch – he referred to the iconic slogan of Krzysztof Kononowicz, who ran for president of Białystok in 2006. "So that there is no bandit, that there is no theft, that there is nothing," said the then deceased political activist and videoblogger.
"So there is nothing," Tusk wrote on social media. "That is Kononovich's doctrine at the Presidential Palace," commented Karol Nawrocki's decision.
