On 12 September, all Polish border crossings with Belarus were closed for Russian-Belarusian military exercises "Zapad 2025" (then opened). The provision of crossings and crossings in these places – according to the head of the government – is intended to solve respective problems, including those concerning logistics of tiny entrepreneurs, household or tourist issues.
– I have already asked the appropriate resorts to prepare this decision so that it is possible this week. But we have a problem on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border and on the Lithuanian-Russian border," said Tusk.
There will be talks with Lithuania
Recently, Lithuania's airspace has been breached respective times, so Tusk stressed that the decision to open borders requires consultations with the Lithuanians to "not surprise them".
– Everything points to the fact that if we put together this issue, coordinate our actions, we should open these 2 transitions in November. Let's say: to rehearse," Tusk added.
At the same time he pointed out that "if for any reason you gotta close the borders back, then you will not hesitate a moment".
