Donald Tusk stated on Monday in a post-election speech that he would shortly address the Sejm with a request for a vote of assurance for the government. The Prime Minister stressed that he wanted everyone to see that the government "will not go back a step". Earlier, the president of PiS Jarosław Kaczyński came out with another proposal.

Donald Tusk said in a speech on TVP Info that Government Action Plan to the fresh president "will require unity and courage from the full Coalition on October 15".

"The first test will be a vote of assurance for which I will address the Sejm in the close future" - stated the head of government.

As he explained, he wants "all of us to see, besides our opponents, at home and abroad, that we are ready for this situation, that we realize the seriousness of the moment, but that we are not going back a step."

The Prime Minister besides addressed all those who voted in the election for the KO candidate Rafał Trzaskowski: "We are going further". "I know how you feel, but let's remember - we agreed on a large deal, requiring strength, perseverance and possibly more time than we would like. In democracy, the fight never ends" - he stressed. Under the Constitution The Prime Minister may ask the Sejm to give the Council of Ministers a vote of assurance at any time in its office.. The vote of assurance shall be given by a majority in the presence of at least half of the statutory number of Members. The deficiency of support of the Sejm for the motion to grant a vote of assurance obliges the Prime Minister to resign on the hands of the President.

However, he declared that if he showed a willingness to cooperate, "it would be a affirmative surprise to which the government would respond with full openness."

"If not, there's nothing to wait for. We'll go on with the job, no substance what, due to the fact that that's why we were chosen." stressed the head of government.

The Prime Minister said that the government would submit already-prepared draft laws, but if necessary, "it would regulation and make decisions, besides with the president trying to block good changes." "We already have experience," he added.

"There's besides much to do. Starting with global affairs, building a powerful army and a strong economy, repolonizing industry, through social safety and state services, up to settlement and combating crime" - stressed the head of the government.

Kaczyński proposes method government

Jarosław Kaczyński gave a message earlier. PiS president stated that the current government is "extremely clumsy". "We request a completely different solution today. This solution is the method governmentwho, like the president, will be unpartisan" - he argued.

The consequence of the presidential election is red card for the current government; in the conditions of democracy, and democracy struggling has lost, it must be said, specified a government should simply leave - Kaczyński stressed.
