"With full responsibility, I announce a fresh beginning in Polish-German relations, possibly the most crucial in the past of the last twelve or so years," said Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Wednesday after gathering with the fresh German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. "We have a real chance to strengthen Polish-German relations in specified a way that they service Poland, Germany and Europe in the best possible way," said the head of the Polish government.
