Tusk amazed the reparation. I watch the PiS cook and ask what they did to themselves

The echoes of Donald Tusk's loud proposal about the war reparations he presented in Berlin are not silent. As the latest poll showed, most Poles are against it. The head of government amazed everyone, the right hand thunders over submission. But on the another hand... At least he offered something, there's a reaction from Germany, something's going on. And what did the Law and Justice do about reparations too busting Berlin?

On 1 December, a Polish-German intergovernmental consultation took place in Berlin with the participation of Donald Tusk and Chancellor Friedrich Merz. It was then that a amazing proposal was made by the Polish Prime Minister, who gave fresh PiS fuel to hit the government.

In fresh days, PiS politicians have been cooking in comments, and right-wing media have been writing about "a shameful act of submission", even saying that "the marginalization of Poland by Germany under Donald Tusk's regulation is progressing at a galloping pace".

Meanwhile, a fewer days have passed since Tusk spoke. A storm swept through the country. Apparently, she was besides in German media.

Knut Abraham, a typical of the German government for cooperation with Poland, in a conversation with PAP later said that "the German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stressed that this is not a subject for negotiation either legally or politically".

But after a joint Monday declaration, he added:

– It states that the German side is considering further damages and benefits for surviving victims. I anticipate there to be more force on this substance soon, as the victims are getting older and so we have a work to velocity up this analysis.

If the Law and Justice had heard specified a thing during their rule, would the organization consider it a good signal?

Tusk in Berlin with the position of Poland

Let's callback the words of Tusk, who died in Berlin. The head of the Polish government said that Poland's position on redress for the surviving victims of planet War II is besides clear.

– Germany adheres to this formal-graduate act from the 1950s. As you well know, in the 1950s. In fact, Poland had nothing to say on this issue. Reparation is not considered to be an act according to the will of the Polish people," he said.

He besides urged Germany: "The state of things has not changed. We believe in Poland that Poland has not received compensation for crimes from planet War II. We besides know the German position. Hurry up if you truly want to make that gesture.

Then he added that there were 50,000 direct victims of the Nazis.

Here you will read more about it.

However, Poles did not like the thought of paying compensation from their own resources. This was shown by a SW investigation poll for Onetu. On the question: "Should you, in your opinion, pay compensation for surviving Poles – victims of planet War II, if Germany does not make specified a decision?", 43.3 percent of respondents replied "No".

25.8% of respondents replied.

But most of all, the right hand boils. "Step by step Germany gains full power over Poland" – this is just 1 comment. The net flooded memes, photos of Tusk and the imagination that Poland is already, immediately, to pay for Germany.

Kaczyński: Tusk wants to pay German crimes with money from Polish citizens?

I read all these reactions, and I wonder what the Law and Justice has done during their 8 years of government to get Germany to talk about reparations. Was what Tusk said not a diplomatic reminder that any Poles did not understand? And did he do more with his words than the politicians of Law and Justice keep hitting Berlin?

The head of the MON and Deputy Prime Minister besides spoke of this. Tusk's words even called a "intellectual provocation".

Prime Minister Tusk did more than anyone else. For 8 years, our predecessors worked on the report. As it came to, they could not even deliver it effectively to Germany. He stands next to Chancellor Merza at the conference and says directly: you must pay it as shortly as possible, or else we will be making specified a shame that you will never recover from this shame," said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Also the BBC pointed out this in the title: "Tusk urges Germany to 'speed up' with compensation for planet War II".

They didn't see it or hear it in the Law and Justice.

Jarosław Kaczyński responded to X: "Unbelieveable! (...) Tusk wants to pay German crimes with money from Polish citizens?".

MEP Beata Szydło: "Tusk's submission to Germany knows no borders".

Waldemar Buda: "Prime Minister Tusk got approval from the Germans to pay the repairs from the Polish budget, he will do everything".

Other politicians do the same. Under their entries, quite a few people ask why the PiS hadn't reparated for 8 years.

"For example, erstwhile Minister of abroad Affairs in the Government of the Law and Justice, Anna Fotyga, stated that Poland had renounced the repair of Germany", "For 8 years the Law and Justice Government has already lost tens of thousands of erstwhile prisoners and forced workers from the IIWW period and someway you have done nothing to get them anything" – I read the reactions to Kaczyński's tweet.

And individual said, "I listened to the full press conference in this passage you're talking about. What's interesting is that I understood him completely differently. Prime Minister Donald Tusk profoundly embarrassed Mr Chancellor".

The fight of the Law and Justice on reparation. They did that in 8 years.

So let us remind you of how the Law and Justice worked on war reparations. At the time of the regulation of the United Right, he primarily made it felt that this was 1 of his priorities.

As early as 2017, the Parliamentary Panel on Estimates of the Heights of Compensation, led by Arkadiusz Mularczyk, was established in the Sejm.

"Report on the losses suffered by Poland as a consequence of German aggression and business 1939–1945" we met in 2022. It counted over 1,3,000 pages. The full value of losses was estimated at PLN 6.2 trillion.

In October 2022 the Ministry of abroad Affairs sent a diplomatic note to Berlin. As it turns out, the word "reparations" did not come out.

The Law and Justice Government has besides begun sending reports and appeals to parliaments and global organisations. He tried to alert the UN, UNESCO, the Council of Europe.

However, he did not start any negotiations with Germany. And he did not make Germany change their position in any way.

So it is hard to be amazed that present so many Poles remind them. "Are you suggesting that you wait a fewer more years until more Germans die out?" asked Szydło 1 of the X users.
