Prime Minister Tusk announced that as of Monday 7 July, border controls with Lithuania and Germany are returning. He noted that Germany was sending us migrants who got to them through Poland. More and more people are sending the Lithuanians back. It turns out that 3 quarters of Poles justice this decision well.
Poles Behind Controls
A survey conducted by SW investigation agency commissioned by "Rzeczpospolita" asked Poles whether they support the restoration of border controls with Germany and Lithuania. Almost 3 quarters of respondents (74.9%) are affirmative about Prime Minister Tusk's decision. It was negative for 10.9% of respondents, while 14.2% have no opinion on this issue.
Restoration of border controls enjoys the top support among people with basic vocational education and respondents with incomes ranging from PLN 3001 to PLN 7000 net. The decision of the Prime Minister gained designation of about 80% of the city population from 100,000 to 199 1000 inhabitants.
Tusk said at the beginning of the week that the subject of the border was discussed respective times during talks with the Chancellor of Germany: – I told him that Poland's patience in this substance is moving out. Especially after changing practices that make it hard to find whether people returned to Poland should actually come here," said the Prime Minister.
That's how the controls are expected to work.
We know details about restoring control at Polish borders. According to the Border Guard, 16 border crossings with Germany and 2 crossings with Lithuania will be placed under peculiar supervision. In respective twelve another places random checks will be carried out.
Chief Commandant SG General Dyw. Robert Bagan reported that 52 border inspection sites were selected at the border with Germany. In 16 of these, permanent checks will be carried out. 13 places were selected on the border with Lithuania, including 2 fixed ones.
General Bagan said the checks would be carried out at road crossings, railways, pedestrians (and bikes) and river crossings. In 16 places on the border with Germany there will be containers and alleged schengen-buses. specified installations will besides appear on 2 crossings with Lithuania.
In another places, checks are to be random. The guards can be assisted by WOT soldiers and Military Police.
