An different situation occurred in the area of Lysa Polana, where Slovak policemen spotted a man wandering the mountains without shoes and appropriate clothes.
The tourist wore only light, summertime clothes, no individual items, no money.

It turned out that the man was a Ukrainian citizen with a Polish PESEL number. According to officials, he had been drinking with strangers the day before and then lost his field orientation.
– The man had no individual belongings and no money to return to Poland. During the ID card it turned out that he was a Ukrainian citizen with a Polish PESEL number. He explained that his camping had disappeared under unexplained circumstances after gathering unknown people with whom he had previously consumed alcohol," said a spokesperson for the Zakopane police asp. staff. After assessing the wellness condition and stating that the life of the tourist is not in danger, Polish officers transported him to Zakopane. The intervention was successful thanks to the cooperation of the services of both countries.
