The criteria for EU membership are non-negotiable - they recognised the Euro MPs on Wednesday, adopting a resolution on Turkey's accession process to the EU. This process must stay frozen and Turkey's geopolitical and strategical importance cannot compensate for the collapse of democracy in this country - it has been recognised.
