Turkey fights for F-16s. Strong opposition in U.S. [COMMENT]

Turkey's Minister of National defence Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with U.S. defence Secretary Antony Blinken on the acquisition of Generation 4+ multirole aircraft, F-16 Block 70 and the modernization package of Turkey's already owned F-16C/D fleet. The possible contract would be of large value for the US economy, but the controversial policy of Turkish president Recep Erdogan stands in the way.
