The advanced Election Commission of Turkey announced the authoritative results of the presidential election: Erdoğan: 49.52%, Kılıçdaroğlu: 44.88, Oğan: 5.17%, İnce: 0.43%. This means that as early as May 28, Turkey will hold a second circular of elections, as no of the candidates has reached the minimum threshold for support. Neither president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan nor Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu won more than half the votes on Sunday, May 14. However, it is worth pointing out that the current president has a 2.5 million vote advantage over his opponent, so it is his triumph that is most frequently predicted in the second round.
