It is already the 3rd of the six kind 214TN submarines built for the Turkish fleet, under licence and based on the technology transfer provided by the German shipbuilding holding company thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (tkMS). The stamp for the construction of this unit was laid on 25 February 2018.
