A noticeable change of attitude on both sides took place only in the mid-twenties of the 21st century, erstwhile changes in global safety architecture, including Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine, the re-stabilization of the mediate East (especially in the context of Syria and the Gaza Strip) and the revision of Washington's commitments under Donald Trump, paradoxically revived Turkey's strategical value in the eyes of American decision-makers. However, it is not a return based on sentiment or the expression of romanticist reconciliation, but alternatively a pragmatic reconfiguration, in which both parties considered that geography inactive determines politics, and Turkey's position in the region remains besides crucial to marginalise.
