Turkey buys fresh fighters

Turkey formally reported its willingness to acquisition Eurofighters in March 2023 and it appears that the contract may be signed at the current fair in Turkey IDEF 2025. This is seen as a reaction to Greece's acquisition of Rafale aircraft, although Ankara may request aircraft for another reasons as well, for example, in the face of an inflamed situation in the Caucasus or the mediate East. Turkey presently has a reasonably large fleet of combat aircraft, estimated at about 300 machines, but 50 of them are already aged although upgraded F-4E-2020 Terminator and the another aircraft are F-16C/D of different versions. These machines can number on a decent fleet of support aircraft, including 4 early informing machines and 7 air refuelling. 1 in the face of contemporary challenges, including a possible conflict with Russia, Greece or Israel, may prove insufficient.
