Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed French president Emmanuel Macron on Thursday that the authorities in Ankara are making intensive efforts to resolve the diplomatic conflict around Iran and return to negotiations," Erdogan's press office reported.
During a telephone conversation, Erdogan said that "the prolonged conflict in Iran will be a origin of instability both in the region and in the world," the Communication said. The Turkish President's press service besides stated that in Erdogan's opinion the current situation "requires closer defence cooperation between NATO allies".
