In Turkey, 90 people suspected of being associated with the muslim State (IS) group were arrested, reported the AFP agency on Monday, citing the Turkish Ministry of the Interior and recalling that there had been an attack before the Israeli consulate in Istanbul 2 weeks ago.
Among the 90 suspects arrested in 24 of the 81 provinces of the country are “members of a terrorist organization (...), persons active in its financing (...) and suspects of spreading its propaganda”, the Ministry of the Interior reported on Platform X.
Authorities have not officially linked these arrests to an attack carried out on April 7 in front of the Israeli consulate in Istanbul, in which 2 police officers were injured.
