Karol Nawrocki referred to Donald Trump's decision to impose duties on the European Union. The PiS candidate believes that geopolitical tensions and decisions of the EU authorities are not conducive to the prosperity of Poles. Rafał Trzaskowski commented powerfully on his statement.

– I besides wanted to make it clear that I listened to what my competitor, Karol Nawrocki, was saying with large disbelief about what was going on with us – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Starachowice on Thursday.

Trzaskowski does not deal with Nawrock. It's Trump's customs.

As he explained, "because he talked about these duties that Americans want to introduce on, among another things, Polish goods, with large knowing and with large satisfaction that, Americans want to introduce duties on goods from Poland, which will, of course, affect our jobs".

– I could not believe that individual could thus talk about the duties that another country imposes on Polish goods, and at this point we gotta ask a question. What business does Mr. Karol Nawrocki want to represent right now? due to the fact that it is the work of all Polish policy to take care of our Polish national interest, he stressed.

“If all Europe is saying that we request to invest in the European manufacture today, there is simply a large chance for Poland to persuade everyone to strengthen our industrial capacity,” the presidential candidate for the presidency believes.

– We should produce as much as possible, in order to show the strength of the Polish economy, so that our equipment, service our troops and that this equipment is sold throughout Europe and even around the world," he added.

– Our consequence to customs, to the trade war, should be to support our industry, due to the fact that it does not make a conflict, it strengthens Poland and strengthens Europe – said Trzaskowski.

What's with the Trump duties?

Donald Trump imposed a 20% work on the European Union. The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has so announced that Europe will not stay passive and will introduce "retaliatory duties".

Karol Nawrocki during a gathering with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland expressed deep concerns about the decision. "I am profoundly afraid that the EU's "retaliatory duties" will have a negative impact on prosperity in the Polish country," he said.

PiS candidate for president added that Trump's duties are a consequence to the geopolitical crisis, but besides to the interior crisis of the European Union. "If the Union decides to retaliate, they will have a serious impact on the economies of the associate States, including Poland," said Nawrocki, expressing his belief that specified a step could negatively affect the prosperity of the country.
