
The Office for individual Data Protection reacted to the action of Rafał Trzaskowski, who revealed the data of Jerzy Z., from whom Karol Nawrocki acquired the apartment. Turns out the presidential candidate might have problems.
On Tuesday, Trzaskowski posted data of an 80-year-old man on social media. In addition to the name, there is besides the name of the Gdańsk DPS in which he resides and the account number to which Karol Nawrocki should deposit his money.
Virtual Poland contacted the Office for individual Data Protection. Karol Witowski, UODO's press secretary, told us how the case could unfold now.
– Anyone who decides to make their individual data public with a comment (e.g. on the Internet, at a conference, etc.) must be aware that specified action can primarily consequence in a violation of individual property and, following the investigation of their protection under the rules provided for in the civilian Code (according to Article 23 of the civilian Code, individual property of a person, specified as a surname, a pseudonym or an image, stay under legal protection) – he replied.
Does Trzaskowski have a problem?
Witowski besides referred straight to Trzaskowski's publication. – In the event of the disclosure of individual data of a citizen (name and surname) by Mr. Rafał Trzaskowski, president of UODO will take the substance on his own initiative – declared the spokesman.
