US president Donald Trump present stated that he was not satisfied with Spain and announced that the United States would no longer trade with this country. He added that he was not happy with Britain either.
“I told Scott (Bessent, Minister of Finance) to cut off all contacts (trade) with them,” said Donald Trump during a gathering with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the White House.
He recalled that Spain did not increase defence spending. “And now Spain has said that we cannot usage their bases,” he added. He estimated that Spain was not friendly with the US.
Spain has absolutely nothing we need. but large people. They have large people, but they do not have large authorities – he continued.
He added that he was besides dissatisfied with Britain.
– We are not dealing with Winston Churchill here," said Donald Trump.
