Donald Trump appealed to another countries to join operations in the Ormuz Strait area. He spoke about this in an interview with journalists aboard Air Force 1 while flying to Washington. He informed that he was interviewing approximately seven countries. He noted that China was the largest recipient of oil transported from the Gulf region, but did not indicate whether Beijing was among the countries with which he was talking about a possible participation in the operation.
Trump argued that the countries benefiting from energy supplies from the region should themselves guarantee the safety and protection of transport routes. At the same time, he stressed that the United States is not dependent on its oil due to the fact that it has its own resources. Nevertheless, as he pointed out, Washington engages in activities in the region both out of habit and for allies in the mediate East.

In this context, the president besides mentioned the function of NATO, claiming that the United States regularly supports the alliance, including in connection with the war in Ukraine.

In Trump's view, the operation should not be peculiarly difficult, as he believes Iran's military possible has been mostly weakened. He besides stressed that he had long believed that it was countries utilizing the transport of natural materials through the Strait that should be liable for its safety, but so far the United States played a major function in this.
The president announced that global action could start soon, although he pointed out that moving American ships to the mediate East would take time. At the same time, he pointed out that another countries had units that could be useful for operations, specified as trawlers intended to remove mines from sea basins.
