Donald Trump begins to lose patience for a country that is an overseas neighbour of the United States. This is about Venezuela, whose combat aircraft have come closer to the American warship for the second time in fresh days. The president of the United States has announced that if this happens again, Venezuelan machines will be shot down. Relations between the 2 countries are strained after the attack of demolition by the American Navy of the boat on which drugs were to be carried.
A fewer days ago, an American warship launched a “ship” – or actually a large motorboat – on which, according to information from the Americans, drugs were to be transported from Venezuela. 11 people died. According to U.S. representatives, they were members of the Venezuelan gang “Train to Aragua”.
After this event, air force combat aircraft Venezuela has already twice approached American warships in the Caribbean.
About the disturbing activity of Venezuelan aviation, journalists asked Donald Trump – precisely what would happen if the situation were repeated. The president of the United States replied that planes would be shot down in that case.
However, that is not all due to the fact that Trump announced that specified acts would make Venezuela “in trouble”. Standing next to him – in the Oval Office – he told the general that he could “do anything necessary” if the situation escalated.
The relation between Venezuela and the US complicates the conflict over drugs and the gang "Train to Aragua" which Trump recognized as a terrorist organization earlier this year. According to the president of the United States, drugs are coming from Venezuela to the United States, smuggled by members of the said group. The US authorities besides claim that the gang operates in agreement with Venezuelan government president Nicholas Maduro.
Maduro denies the charges, calling them false. He stressed that "differences between countries request not mean armed conflict".
Meanwhile, the president of the United States doubled the prize for information leading to the capture of Venezuelan dictator – to about PLN 180 million.
