U.S. president Donald Trump announced on Thursday that American soldiers would stay in Germany. Although Chancellor Friedrich Merz called for stronger action against Russia, Trump pointed out that he would only be prepared to take it if he felt that Russia's war with Ukraine could not be stopped.
