Donald Trump announced that after a "good and fruitful" telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, high-ranking advisors of both countries would meet next week, and then both leaders would see each another in 1 of the EU countries. The president of the United States has already given us the location. The thought will most likely not like Ukraine.

U.S. president Donald Trump published an entry on Thursday at fact Social after a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin.

Trump is to meet Trump in Hungary

He wrote that the conversation was "good and fruitful", adding that the "high-ranking advisor" of both countries would meet next week. "President Putin and I will then meet in an agreed place, in Budapest, Hungary, to effort to end this 'disgraceful' war between Russia and Ukraine," reads his entry.

However, he did not give the exact date of the meeting.

He besides announced that he would discuss the conversation with Putin during a gathering with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski, which will be held next day (17 October) in the White House. "I believe that large advancement was made during today's telephone conversation" - he finished his entry.

"The planned gathering of Presidents of the United States and Russia is wonderful news for people around the planet who want peace. We are ready!" – the Prime Minister of Hungary himself responded to this idea.

We stress that the choice of place will most likely not like Ukraine. The point is that in this town there was a alleged Budapestan memorandum, that is, an agreement signed in 1994 by Ukraine, the USA, Britain and Russia. In exchange for Ukraine's approval to abandon possession of atomic weapons – which it inherited after the dissolution of the USSR – the parties guaranteed Ukraine respect for its sovereignty, borders and security.

Budapest is not well associated in Ukraine

In another words, Ukraine has given up its atomic weapons for global atomic disarmament, and in return has received guarantees of safety and integrity of borders. Unfortunately, these guarantees were seriously breached, especially after the Russian aggression against Ukraine in 2014 and the war that began in 2022.

Why Hungary? Trump repeatedly expressed his appreciation for Viktor Orbán, highlighting his strong leadership and ability to defend Hungary's interests. Trump praised Orbán for his firm approach to immigration and for defending conventional values. Trump frequently pointed out that there was a good relation between them, based on common respect and common priorities.
