President Donald Trump announced sending troops to Portland, Oregon, justifying the decision by having to defend national facilities from attacks. In a post on the fact Social platform, he announced the mobilisation of armed forces against what he called "national terrorist organizations".
"At the request of national safety minister Kristi Noem, I order Minister of War Pete Hegseth to supply all essential troops to defend the devastated Portland War and all ICE fingers besieged by Antifa attacks and another national terrorist organizations" - Trump wrote. The president stressed that he allowed the usage of "Full Force, if necessary" and added, "Thank you for your attention on this matter!"

The Politico portal reported in early September, citing sources that the preliminary version of the National Defence strategy puts missions in the US alone over strategies aimed at China and Russia. According to the portal, the guidelines contained in the Pentagon's plans are already being implemented, an example of which is sending thousands of National defender soldiers to Los Angeles and Washington.
The sending of troops to Los Angeles followed protests against illegal immigrants and to Washington, as Trump announced, to fight crime.
