U.S. president Donald Trump rejects a 145-percent tariff simplification on Chinese goods before preliminary talks with Beijing this weekend. During the event at the White House, the reporter said that China had demanded a crucial tariff simplification before starting substantive negotiations and asked Trump if he was willing to do so. The president briefly replied, "No".
Trump besides denied that the initiative of talks planned in Switzerland came from the United States.
