U.S. president Donald Trump said he decided to suspend the imposition of 50% tariffs on goods from the European Union from 1 June and to postpone this deadline until 9 July. Trade talks between the 2 parties are to be resumed soon. Trump - as he himself acknowledged - changed his decision after talking to the European Commission's head Ursula von der Leyen.
