Trump pronounced Nawrocki's name like that. And he could have done it on purpose

During his gathering at the White House, Donald Trump smiled "he struggled" with the pronunciation of the surname of Karol Nawrocki. Polish language is highly hard for Americans, but it is possible that the American leader did it on purpose.


– It is simply a large pleasance to have president Nawrocki with us – the US president Donald Trump started the meeting, saying the name of the Polish president as "Nowrocky" (named "Nałroki"). There was laughter in the room.

Trump had a problem with the name Nawrocki?

The president of the United States admitted that Nawrocki's name was difficult. Did I do a good job? I wanted to make it perfect. Did I succeed? – Nawrocki asked. “Yes, well,” replied the Polish President.

Trump then praised Nawrock's run and his triumph in the presidential election. And here it should be added that possibly Trump deliberately pronounced his name "Nippets". In the presidential campaign, Nawrocki's co-workers very frequently utilized the phrase "NowRocky" in relation to a candidate issued by PiS.



On the another hand, let us stress that for Americans the Polish language is considered highly difficult, mainly due to complicated grammar, many cases and hard pronunciation. Names and words containing consonants specified as "Nawrocks" are so a challenge for people who talk English.
