– I am pleased that president Donald Trump accepted Charles Nawrocki as a candidate in the White home election. This is simply a large forecast for me. I think that we can anticipate and anticipate a fresh Polish president to visit the White home and visit the president of the United States to Warsaw – of course the deadlines will be fixed, but I presume this will happen shortly – said president Andrzej Duda at a press conference.
Duda talked to Trump.
Earlier, the president besides added an entry in the matter. "The decision to increase defence spending in all States of the Alliance was made unanimously! The NATO summit in The Hague, which follows the 2016 summit in Warsaw, has a historical dimension.
Being aware of the current safety conditions, over a year ago in fresh York, I offered president Donald Trump to push this decision," Duda wrote.
"Thank you Mr. president Donald Trump for your effective leadership and key support for the initiative to rise defence spending. Polish-American cooperation has shown its effectiveness. NATO Summit strengthens transatlantic ties, and stronger NATO is safer Poland!" - emphasised the Polish President.
NATO will increase defence spending
NATO states committed on Wednesday to invest 5 percent of their yearly gross home product (GDP) by 2035 on defence and safety spending, stressing that "the attack on 1 ally is an attack on everyone".
In a declaration by NATO leaders, the defence commitment will cover investments of at least 3.5 percent of GDP per year for key defence needs.
They besides committed to spending up to 1.5 percent of GDP on security-related expenditure, including the protection of key infrastructure and strengthening the Alliance's industrial defence base.
As stressed by the leaders, these investments are essential to face "serious safety threats", pointing to "a long-term threat from Russia to Euro-Atlantic safety and the continuing threat of terrorism".
NATO associate States have besides confirmed their "permanent and sovereign commitments" to support Ukraine.
