Trump has a fresh plan to end the war. He announces talks with Putin and Zelenskiy

Donald Trump has announced that he plans to hold negotiation talks with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy and Russian president Vladimir Putin. The first telephone conversation will take place as early as Monday, May 19, he revealed.


The U.S. president conveyed that he intends to call Vladimir Putin on Monday at 10 a.m. local time (4 p.m. Polish time). The topics of the conversation are expected to include ending the war in Ukraine and trade issues.

"The topics of the conversation will be ending the bloodshed, in which an average of more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers a week are killed, and trade," he announced in a post on fact Social.

After his conversation with Putin, Trump is besides scheduled to contact president Volodymyr Zelenskiy and leaders of NATO countries.
