Donald Trump announced a very productive telephone conversation with Russian president Vladimir Putin. The U.S. president reported "great progress" on ending the conflict in Ukraine.
"I just finished a telephone call with Russian president Vladimir Putin and it was very productive (...) At the end of the conversation, we agreed that a gathering of our high-level advisors would be held next week" - wrote Trump on the fact Social platform.
Councillors gathering next week
The negotiations will be conducted by the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, along with another designated persons, from the United States. The gathering place of advisors is to be determined soon.
"President Putin and I will meet you later at an agreed place, Budapest in Hungary to see if we can put an end to this "infamous" war between Russia and Ukraine" - added the American President. A individual gathering of leaders in the Hungarian capital is planned.
