
Tom Rose, an American writer and close associate of president Trump, expressed his discontent with the entry on platform X (formerly Twitter). This was a consequence to the announcement by the Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski concerning the introduction of a digital taxation for technological giants.
Rose wrote: “That is not wise! An auto-destructive taxation that will only harm Poland and its relations with the US. president Trump will besides respond in retaliation and should do so. Cancel the taxation to avoid consequences!”

The Ministry of Digital Affairs, led by Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski, is working on introducing a digital taxation on revenues or profits of large technological corporations operating in Poland.
