– due to both the state interest and the interest of the Church (...) we should not have religion in schools – Donald Tusk said before the election, and Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk from the Left promised: – We will remove the school from the dark ages.... We'll retreat HiT lessons, we'll retreat ideology from schools, we'll retreat spiritual lessons.
These classes are the origin of discrimination – claims the Foundation Freedom from religion and has evidence of almost 2,000 specified cases. Money is besides important. The same salaries of catechets paid at teacher's rates absorb over PLN 1.5 billion all year. Unfortunately, separating the Church from education will not be easy.
First, a concordat must be renegotiated, Article 12 of which reads: ... The State guarantees that primary and secondary public schools and kindergartens, run by state and local government authorities, organise spiritual education in accordance with the will of those curious in the school curriculum. In the Polish Constitution, however, there is simply a provision for the work of all authorities of the Republic to comply with concordat standards.
Religion at school is simply a waste of student time, foolishness by an under-educated catechet or benevolent priest, and that's all at our expense. https://t.co/drI8Wwp0Sc

Contract changes cannot be made easy or quickly. But you can do something else – explains Katarzyna Lubnauer: – Reduce the number of spiritual hours to 1 per week, remove the spiritual grade from the certificate and not include it in the average.
Restriction of classes should not encounter resistance, but the elimination of the note will meet with disapproval of parents. spiritual grades are advanced and overestimate the average on the certificate, which is peculiarly crucial in recruiting for advanced school or college....
The issue of religion at school was not included in the coalition agreement. due to the fact that although coalitions mostly agree on the secularity of the state, it was already Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish of the PSL that declared after the election that he was against bringing religion out of schools. The position of Poland 2050 will besides be hard to cross. Simon Holownia did not announce the abolition of religion. The program of the organization includes a task of voting to parents, student authorities and teachers on reducing the number of hours and transferring classes to catechical halls. The Holowna group besides advocates lowering the age of the students, which would entitle them to decide for themselves whether they want to attend religion or not.
