The Museum of Złotowska Land in “Gallery behind Winklem” organized a very interesting exhibition devoted to the past of railways, entitled “Train to Train”. The exhibition was opened by manager Kamila Krzanik-Dworanowska, and among the guests were Senator Adam Szejnfeld and MP Henryk Szopinski.
- I'm sorry. There are fewer areas that perfectly combine the past and the future. I'm certain this group includes railways. For Koto never rode a train? Private, business, professional, or tourist?... There seems to be no specified person, and now more and more people are returning to usage this form of movement and transport of goods. So present we have a renaissance of railways in the world, but slowly, besides due to the fact that there is not only sentiment, economical needs or economics, but besides the challenges of our times, namely the request to defend the environment and clean climate. These goals thus become a large denominator combining past and tradition with modernity – said Senator Adam Szejnfeld, Vice-President of the Committee on National Economy and Innovation during the beginning of the exhibition, "Train to Train – Railway to Country".
During the beginning of the exhibition, it was possible to learn very interesting stories from the past of the railway and railway station in Złotów, for example, that a celebrated Nord Express train was passing through the Gold station going from Paris to St Petersburg. Interestingly, Paul von Hindeburg – the president of Germany – was getting off at the local railway station, and more importantly, besides Ignacy Jan Paderewski was passing through at the time erstwhile he was Prime Minister of Poland.

The Gold exhibition presented very interesting exhibits to visitors, not only from the collections of the local Museum, but besides utilized for this intent by close facilities, including from Piła. There are private collections collected and presented. Among them are souvenirs related to the celebrated Blues Express borrowed by MP Henryk Szopinski, creator and organizer of the Blues Express.

But the most crucial is the presentation of railway artifacts specified as old lamps, levers and gears, models of steam machines, tracks and trains, There are besides postage stamps, postcards and old literature and newspapers on railways. The exhibition besides features old plans of train stations, paintings, graphics and engravings, including the beautiful “Colonia” of Teresa Jakubowska, a planet celebrated graphic designer.
