Toledo 2026 - NDP - coverage of celebrations

As all year, the celebration at the monument commemorating the old Prague executioners, organized by the Society of Polish Tradition and Culture Lovers, was the culmination of the march. Criminal and investigation prison No. III at Namysłowska Street, alleged Toledo. It was here that representatives of the underground of independency were imprisoned and killed from 1944 to 1956. The year 2026 is the 80th anniversary of peculiar events related to their fight. It was in 1946 that the last groups operating in the area of the erstwhile ends of the Republic of Poland crossed the fresh east border to Poland. In the same year, the first conspiratorial independency writings began to be issued, and the unbreakable soldiers fought respective decisive battles, including the June "last decisive" fight under the Consent, in which the soldiers of the National Army clashed with the Red Army. In May we will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the release of over 300 people from the prison in Zamość. Anna Datkowska of the Association of Time Collectors in individual reflection recalled the moments erstwhile the construction of the monument on Namysłowska began in 1997.
Among the people who made the wreaths and flowers were nearly 100-year-old Colonel Czesław Lewandowski, the president of the Board of the Main Committee of the Republic of Poland and erstwhile Political Prisoners.
At the end of Mr Karolina presented her lyrical impressions about the Cursed Soldiers, and president of TMPTiK Sławomir Wojdat invited to the Way of the Cross “Following the Praskie Katownia” (20 March, 16 p.m., A. Żurowski Square).
