The event took place at the U.S. Ambassador's residence and brought together the most crucial representatives of the technology manufacture from both countries. During dinner, president Trump stressed the importance of a fresh trade agreement between the US and Japan, which assumes A $550 billion investment framework programme. The Secretary of Commerce revealed Howard Lutnick, within the framework of it may even scope $490 billion of fresh investments linked to JapanIn exchange for reduction of customs duties on nipponese goods.
Trump described the dinner participants as “phenomenal businessmen” and added that “The United States won't let you downIt’s okay. ”
Japan plays a key function in the Apple supply chain. The company uses Sony image sensors, Sharp and JDI screensand Murat batteries. Although Cook did not talk during the event, no fresh investments or decisions on Apple policy have been announced.
