The promises of 5% of GDP are unrealistic — this year we will scope just over 4%. Let's review the contracts, especially the acquisition of 96 AH-64 Apache (approx. PLN 40 billion plus ~PLN 100 billion maintenance), which may not be optimal. Smaller orders and investments in anti-drone systems and stronger support from home manufacture would increase efficiency. An independent, mandated institution is needed to measure the rationality of purchases."
