Once again, the Gdynia police proved their effectiveness. Thanks to a fast and coordinated investigation, officers from the Redlow and Karwin Police Stations detained 3 Indian citizens, suspected of violent robbery which occurred on 11 April. The victim was besides a citizen of India who came to an appointment, without suspecting that he would be attacked.
The robbery study was received at Redlow Police Station on Friday night, just after 7:00 p.m. The police went to Wielkacka Street, where a 36-year-old man reported that he was beaten and robbed by 3 men, 1 of whom he had known for respective days. After a violent attack, the perpetrators stole $2,200, $230 and a gold chain, and then fled the scene. A forensic method and a guide with a service dog were besides directed to the site.
Redlow police immediately began intensive operations. They established that the perpetrators were planning to leave the country and are on their way to Warsaw. This information went to the capital officials, and the on-callers began to track the suspects on a train heading for the capital. Thanks to cooperation with the train manager and ticket controller who received photos of the perpetrators, they were identified in 1 of the carriages.
Two 22-year-old men were already waiting at the station in Legionów. There were besides criminals from Gdynia who transported the detainees into custody. By decision of the court of April 13, they both went to jail for 3 months.
Further action led to the arrest of a 3rd fishy – a 30-year-old Indian citizen – in Gdynia. Officers tracked his whereabouts through operational work and data analysis. The man was detained on April 13, and the following day heard the charges and was besides temporarily arrested for 3 months.
They are sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for armed robbery.
