In the shade of palm trees in Florida, the destiny of east Europe is at stake. The delegations of Ukraine and the United States have just concluded a crucial circular of negotiations in Miami. The goal was one: to make a joint peace plan that could end Russian aggression and at the same time be accepted by the fresh administration in Washington. The meeting, which took place last weekend, was described as "difficult but productive." This is simply a signal that although Kyiv and Washington are getting closer to an agreement, differences in their approach to ending the conflict inactive stay a challenge.
