The president is sending hundreds more soldiers into the city against which the Los Angeles and California authorities powerfully protest. They think it's just making things worse. California politician Gavin Newsom criticized the conditions under which soldiers sent to Los Angeles by the Donald Trump administration are residing. It alerts that they have no food, no water and no suitable sleeping places. He besides showed pictures of soldiers sleeping on the bare level in any building.

Army without backup

"You sent your troops here without fuel, food, water and sleeping places. Here they are — forced to sleep on the floor, placed on each other. If individual treats our troops with no respect, it's you," he wrote on the X politician of Newsom and pointed a finger at Donald Trump. Newsom called the presence of soldiers on the streets of Los Angeles both "illegal and immoral". "This is not about public security. It is about building the ego of a dangerous president," he added.

What's going on in the Los Angeles riots?

On Monday, a large crowd gathered in a park other Los Angeles City Hall to protest the arrest of union leader David Huerta. His arrest on Friday during a protest against immigration raids became a start to conflict. Huerta was later released on bail of $50,000.

Monday's demonstrations were little dangerous than Sundays. Thousands of people peacefully attended a rally at the town hall, hundreds protested in front of the national complex where the detention center was located.
