Everyone who owns a tv or radio is required to pay the RTV licence fee. However, according to data from the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT), only 1 3rd of people actually pay this fee. The taxation office has the right to collect arrears straight from the debtor's bank account. This may consequence in a reduced pension or the seizure of part of the salary.
