The Netherlands has decided to take another crucial step towards strengthening its security. On April 7, 2026, an agreement was signed to acquisition a fresh Patriot air defence strategy worth about $1.1 billion. The contract was concluded with American company Raytheon, 1 of the major manufacturers of this kind of weaponry in the world. The paper was signed by Secretary of State for Arms and Staff Derk Boswijk.
