The Netherlands has decided to take another crucial step towards strengthening its security. On April 7, 2026, a contract was signed for the acquisition of a fresh Patriot air defence strategy worth about $1.1 billion. The contract was concluded with the American company Raytheon, 1 of the main manufacturers of this kind of weapons in the world. The paper was signed by the Secretary of State for Armaments and Personnel, Derk Boswijk.
