Excellent shooting skills, tactics and defence during contact with the opponent – the applicable part of the SONDA sub-office course for the 6th Mazovian Territorial Defence Brigade began. Over the past weekend, the territorials crossed the river, trained in the forest and in urban areas.
The jubilee X edition of the SONDA course is highly intense and demanding. It's expected to teach how to prove how to build authority in a group and how to make good decisions in hard situations. The basis is tactical training. On July 18-21, more than 20 soldiers perfected their fighting and field movement skills, following the principles of green and black tactics. Exercises were held on the Radomka River in Kozienicka Forest, as well as at the PSP Police Centre in Pionki and at the shooting scope in Dęblin.
Green and black - colors of territorials
Green tactics primarily included patrolling, reflection and ambushing in utmost terrain and weather conditions, utilizing natural camouflage to stay undetected. Soldiers had to cross the river by various methods - entering the water and utilizing ropes hanging above the surface. All to prepare as best as possible for war.
- I'm sorry. The course of our classes reflects the reality of the battlefield and is to prepare soldiers for all combat and crisis situation. They'll be the commanders. They request to learn and realize that commanding a section requires the ability to make quick, and above all right decisions. The destiny of the soldiers entrusted to them depends on their choice. An crucial part of the exercise was black tactics, that is, resisting attacks and fighting in urbanized areas. The town's imitation became a fire school area in Pionki. Soldiers learned security, approach, and building checking. These are skills that can be useful, for example, erstwhile people are evacuated.
- I'm sorry. There are dozens of hours of practice in the forest area and training in a polygon centre imitating the city. We're tired due to the fact that green tactics were highly exhausting, and black tactics required focus and cooperation, but the force we got allowed us to feel what a soldier felt in the battlefield. ABC Shooting
The applicable part of SONDY puts large emphasis on shooting training according to a fresh shooting program (PSBS), geared to mobility and traffic. The soldiers perfected the driving of the fire starting with the standing attitude. The next steps are to master the method of shooting from a kneeling posture to a lying one.
This is the 10th edition of the SONDA
The SONDA course takes place in the 6th Mazovian OT Brigade already 10 times. It consists of respective modules, but must pass it by all soldiers who dream of serving a corps of enlisted officers. It is 1 of the most demanding trainings that soldiers of the Territorial Military Service undergo throughout the service. After completing the course and passing the exam, the soldiers will receive the rank of corporal and will take command of a group of soldiers.
